Fidelity Investments Corporate Technology Group (CTG) is in need of a highly qualified Director, Cloud Solution Architect. They key responsibility will be to drive enterprise applications and analytics in public clouds like Amazon and Azure. It will involve the design and implementations of public and hybrid cloud application architecture, as well as cloud-hosted business intelligence.
Lead change across large platforms / functional areas / organizations to public clouds.
Partner with project teams, vendors, support organizations, functional architects, systems specialists and other technical resources in this hands-on role driving cloud migration/adoption from inception to production implementation.
Collaborate with the product, data, and infrastructure architects and be responsible for the defining-designing-delivering the technical architectures, patterns, technical quality, risks, fitness for purpose and operability of technical architecture solutions.
Assume responsibility for technical presentations demonstrating a good understanding of application, data, infrastructure, architecture expertise and application systems design.
Mentor development teams and conduct deep-dive “hands-on” education/training sessions to transfer knowledge to developers/product managers
Qualifications
Experience and Skills
8-10+ years of software development experience, including successful implementation of enterprise solutions in public clouds, i.e. AWS and Azure.
Hands-on technology knowledge and recognized expertise in public- and hybrid-cloud tools and technologies, e.g.: Chef/Puppet, Docker/Containers, Security
Experience with establishing technical strategy and architecture at an enterprise level is preferred; awareness of both current and developing technologies.
Enterprise application integration.
Understand and apply IT Security requirements
Familiar application design and development, including best practices such as 12 Factor.
Working with matrix teams including teams in different time zones
3+ years of current experience in Cloud Service development, automation, architecture and implementation
AWS / Azure Automation
Understanding and experience with Cloud IaaS APIs
Encryption
Awareness Certificate Chains /Security
Big Data / Analytics-Hadoop, Spark, other NOSQL Products, related analytical tools and software
Network load balancing / Network segmenting
Monitoring, Support and Audit
