The Sr. Director of Engineering will collaborate with VP and all other departments within Studio Operations to ensure maintenance and upkeep of all broadcast operations equipment
- Manage all aspects of Engineering Department
- Planning & recommendation of future technology and equipment upgrades including long term goals
- Promote the improvement of the technical capabilities of the company, including infrastructure, design, and maintenance
- Oversee preventive maintenance program
- Supervise the installation and maintenance of all technical equipment that is part of the Golf Channel facility and related locations
- Maintain a strong core of highly skilled and knowledgeable engineers to serve the network
Qualifications/Requirements - Minimum of 10 years experience in Television Engineering / Operations
- Practical Engineering management experience
- Thorough understanding of all aspects of High Definition and 4K television
- Experience with satellite and fiber transmission
- Understanding of multi-platform and IP based production
- Facility design and integration experience
- Ability to recognize emerging technologies and recommend potential applications within the company
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills required with the ability to lead the department in a fast paced, high pressure environment
- Excellent personnel development and mentoring skills
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude a must
