Strategic Development
-Work closely with Regional VP of Corporate Communications and other Executive Leadership to draft and implement a solid, regional internal communications plan that: supports internal executive visibility, ensures that employees are informed and engaged and fosters an environment where collaboration and innovation are key, and fun is imperative
-Provide support to the regional Corporate Communications team in the development of function/market communications plans, ensuring overall uniformity and cohesiveness across the function

- Content Creation/Publishing
-Responsible for drafting, editing and approving all internal communication that originates in-region (including but not limited to organizational changes, employee announcements, meeting summaries, event invitations, etc.); responsible for editing/adjusting global communication in order to capture what's most important and relevant to the LAC region
-Support, edit and - in some cases - responsible for distributing functional communications across markets/teams
-Responsible for drafting meeting summaries and/or executive messages on behalf of Group Executive/ Executive Leadership that has to do with knowledge-sharing and business outlook, strategic focus, ect.; responsible for managing executive mailbox (News from Eduardo)
-Responsible for bridging communication between LAC audience and Call Center audience (at HUB specifically)
-Responsible for drafting talking points/briefing books related to regional All Staff meetings and other town hall meetings that take place in the HUB; provide support for those in-market
-Responsible for producing and distributing a weekly newsletter (soon to take a more digital form!) with company-wide and region-specific updates; responsible for informing HUB employees of specific building and other announcement-type information, events, etc. (working closely with groups like Facilities and HR who are the owners of the information)
-Managing relationship with Burson-Marsteller in creating stories for publication on InSite (up to 4 per month) and maintaining an editorial calendar (to which the markets feed into) to determine upcoming stories in-region and/or topics to further explore/develop
-Managing the upload of content (globally and regionally-focused) onto InSite platform
-Support the Marketing and other functional teams in the curation of content for social platforms like LinkedIn
-Responsible for reviewing presentation and other materials used externally for approval on data used (from a disclosure perspective); work in tandem with legal on disclosure approvals
- Employee Events/Volunteerism
-Plan and execute Coffee Break series events (at least 4 for the year); determine topic and executive availability and run-of-show
-Plan, create agenda and execute regional All Staff meetings and other town hall meetings with regional and global executives (working in tandem with applicable function, Facilities and IT)
-Provide communications support in the planning and implementation of other employee activities like Bring Your Child to Work Day, Miami's Corporate Run, Diversity & Inclusion events and Miami's Holiday Luncheon; sometimes, involvement extends beyond communications, and actual execution at event may be required
-Serve as the key volunteer contact for Miami/LAC acting as the liaison between the LAC regional team initiatives and those that are pushed through by the global team; localize global volunteer initiatives like Visa's Global Volunteer Month in the HUB and provide support of local implementation in-market
-Plan and execute an additional 3 +/- volunteer events (Miami-wide, including LAC and Call Center staff)
-Responsible for managing local relationship with philanthropic partners like St. Jude Children's Hospital and Children's Home Society of South Florida
-Provide support to functional teams in organizing individual hours of service activities and connecting them with the resources available to them to make it happen
- Philanthropic Corporate Contributions (regional and Miami)
-Manage regional/local (HUB) budget destined for corporate charitable contributions
-Manage relationship with most charitable organizations recipients of Visa's funds
-Responsible for leading the disbursement process (both for the regional budget and the Miami budget) – from the approval stage (organizations are initially presented by CMs to GE for approval) through the document gathering stage (where organization is informed of grant and paperwork is requested) to disbursement of funds (cross-checking with recipient organizations that funds were indeed received)
-Serve as liaison between the global team in charge of contributions and the in-market teams requesting the contributions, moving the process along and solving for any issues along the way
- Client Communications
-Provide support to client-facing staff teams in ensuring they receive and are equipped with the information/tools they require; ensure executive leadership is abreast of all client-facing staff communication distributed globally
-Provide support in reviewing external facing documents and/or presentations, both from a messaging and disclosure perspective
-Provide support in reviewing any/all material to be sent to clients, including but not limited to invitations, reminders, local newsletter, etc.
-Serve as the conductor of information of what is being pushed through in North America and other parts of the world to LAC, making sure the regional sales force and other client-facing staff are aware of news, announcements, available content/tools, etc.
-Provide support and content guidance during signature client-facing events such as the Visa Payments Forum (the Americas) and the Regional Sales Meeting (LAC)
-Responsible for the upkeep of the Corporate Communications page on Client Central, providing updated materials/content, etc.
-Work closely with the Sales Enablement teams in the planning and execution of other communication initiatives related to important client-facing rollouts such as Playbook and Talent Development
- Other
-Serve as the lead in the Emergency Response Team (for the HUB); designated communications person in charge of participating in any/all meetings related to an emergency situation and/or crisis; responsible for joining continuous calls and distribute communication as needed
-Designated person to participate in mock-crisis meetings every quarter
-Support employee groups (at the HUB primarily) like the Diversity & Inclusion group, serving in the Women's Leadership committee and the Visa Young Professionals committee
- Decision Making/Complexity
This position is required to think quickly on their feet; able to provide strategic thinking and expertise, while executing at all levels (often beyond its communications scope). This position is often required to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is needed to achieve the desired outcome; extremely hands-on.
Reporting and Reports
This position reports directly into the regional VP of Corporate Communications. Though this role has no official direct reports, it does have dotted lined reports in-market - Corporate Communications team members that are responsible for local implementation of regional internal/client communication strategy.

- Qualifications
Required Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Corporate Communications; internal communications background preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in communications, journalism, or public relations, or has related degree with extensive experience in the Corporate Communications functions
- Strong corporate background; experience in managing corporate relationships and expectations at all levels
Skills Required
- Excellent Written/Verbal English a must; Bilingual Spanish/English a must and basic understanding of Portuguese (a plus)
-Excellent writing skills (especially in English and Spanish)
-Good organization skills
-Flexibility to perform diverse tasks outside scope of work when projects or business goals require it
