As the Head of dCE User Context and Research you will be responsible for:
Being a member of the dCE leadership team, focused on proactively supporting each other to succeed as a whole in our mission
Building, nurturing and leading a world-class User Context & Research team. From a focused team size to start with, the dCE UC&R team will expand significantly in phases as we establish the next-generation digital platform and partner with new businesses
Integrating original research, conducted by the UC&R team, with market research, Voice-Of-the-Customer and analytics to inform data-driven recommendations. This will require forming strong partnerships with other research functions, marketing and business partners, refining systems for capturing research, as well as guiding the teams on forming concise and actionable recommendations
Leading the on-going strategic and operational research for dCE
Guiding and mentoring staff across multiple locations
Ultimately, own the continuous and growing momentum of the credibility of dCE UC&R

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role has 15+ years of experience as a successful, strategic user researcher in industries/roles that directly relate to our business. The candidate should have:
Strong familiarity with user context and research methods (both in-person and remote) and have a keen desire to integrate his or her way of thinking into a world-class experience design culture
Proven record of successfully influencing and evolving complex project/corporate cultures on the value in conducting research in both front-end as well as design and development phases
Experience guiding enterprise-wide solutions from strategic inception, through development and launch
Mentorship and management abilities that bring out the best in the team and help them achieve their goals
High-degree of focus on partnering with design (UX and Design Planning), product, marketing and business teams to ensure methods, participation and learning are highly actionable and empathic
The drive to positively influence the lives of our users beyond what is asked for within the company
BFA or BA in related field, graduate design degree preferred
Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented, cross-functional environment
Aggressive self-starter and high level of intellectual curiosity and are comfortable with ambiguity
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
