Responsible for establishing and implementing strategic technology plans and objectives that support the organization and business imperatives. Establish, plan and administer policies and goals for multiple departments within IT with dominant global scope. Analyze technology needs, determine strategy, develop proactive plans to meet business objectives by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems. As a key member of Information Technology leadership for Arrow Electronics, partner with other senior leaders within the organization to determine short and long term resource allocation requirements and priorities for hardware and software technology projects, programs, and other activities. Reports into Vice President level or directly to the Chief Information Officer. The Director II typically oversees two or more major sub-functions within Information Technology. Services provided and output produced by the team under the Director II has a very high level of impact on the business. May be the CIO for multiple businesses within Arrow.

Develop large-scale plans based on organizational priorities, resource availability and functional objectives. Align IT operational processes with business needs.
Provide leadership to managers, supervisors and professional staff. Ensure employees are positioned for success by providing guidance and championing performance and development opportunities.
Oversee multiple functional areas of responsibility and disciplines globally. Execute and set the example of appropriate project management oversight by overseeing multiple projects in assigned area(s) of discipline.
Demonstrate expert technical proficiency by providing high level technical guidance to internal clients and staff.
Ensure budgets, resources and schedules meet corporate requirements and annual milestones by adhering to financial and budgetary standards. Demonstrate negotiation skills aimed at providing the best outcome for the business.
Collaborate with multiple internal business partners to establish strategic plans, meet critical objectives and identify & solve issues.
Manage relationships with several suppliers, outsource partners and vendors on a global basis. Provide management of key business relationships on a global scale with several suppliers, outsource partners and vendors to ensure organizational goals and needs are met. Exercise strong influential and persuational position when making decisions on behalf of the organization.
Experience Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering or Computer Science. Masters Degree or higher desirable.
• Minimum of 8-10 years leading staff in a broad operational IT role within a large organization with global operations
• Experience running a global network and servicing internal clients on global scale
• Experience managing a shared service organization in a global environment.
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent management skills including motivation, delegation, and project management.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and the corresponding capacity to make decisions or recommendations based on limited facts
• Solid understanding of the business and Technology’s impact on the organization.
