Analyze market trends, customer requirements and competitive strategy for target segments
Engage Product Management, R&D, GST, AgBio, Animal Health, and Market Development stakeholders in assessing market potential and technical competencies and resources required for application development and commercialization.
Develop application/content roadmap and associated strategy for market entry (3rd party partnerships, licensing, services, consortium engagement, etc.)
NPI responsibility for any newly defined application-focused product introductions.
Engage external KOLs as needed
Provide business ownership for Custom Solutions Group, managing team of Product and Project Managers
Provide business ownership for lyophilization capability – accountable for business analysis and gathering cross-divisional stakeholder input to enable broad commercialization of this manufacturing capability.
Education and Experience

BS / BA in biology, genetics, or other life sciences. PhD, MBA are a plus.
Minimum of 10 years business experience in biotechnology
Extensive knowledge of genomics technologies, applications, and markets
Demonstrated experience in product management, prefer some business development, or strategy consulting experience
Experience in market sizing and segmentation, for emerging and established markets

Travel Requirements - 25- 50% domestic and international as necessary.
