The Director, Global Strategy & Business Development, works closely with the EVP of Global Strategy to drive the business strategy to achieve LexisNexis' revenue and profitability goals and to maintain and enhance its industry leading position. Responsibilities encompass the full range of strategic and tactical planning as well as business development and M&A. In many instances the Director will participate in the execution of the plans and ensure best practices are leveraged.
As the Director Global Strategy & Business Development your key roles and responsibilities will include
Working with the EVP of Global Strategy to:
Develop, refine and implement strategic plans across the various LNLP business units
Evaluate the attractiveness of new markets for LNLP and develop market entry strategies
Analyze economic, market and competitive data and communicate key information and implications to the senior leadership team
Identify and initiate M&A transactions, together with members of cross-functional global teams

Basic Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have 2-4 years of post-MBA experience in consulting and/or a corporate role with emphasis on strategic planning and/or business development.
Must be a strategic thinker who is highly analytical and has excellent presentation and communication skills as well as advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
Must have a strong sense of how business operates in a global context and be able to bring a macro perspective to business opportunities.
Ability to deliver results working with individuals of all seniority levels within a complex, matrixed environment
Strong team and collaboration skills
Proven track record of dealing with senior level executives
Previous experience in a top-tier management consulting firm required
Experience in the software, legal or technology industry preferred, but not required
Strong preference for an MBA degree
Travel up to 25% including the potential for international travel
