As a Director, you may be required to take on a role within any of the ERM Programs Office areas of responsibility, including, but not be limited to the following:
Creation of status reports on key ERM initiatives for presentation to regulators, senior executives, and Board level committees.
Coordinate processes to effectively document and monitor new products and services risk decisions, and governance and maintenance of key risk policies.
Periodic reporting related to Aggregate ERM Reports for presentation to senior executives and Board level committees.
Manage the annual refresh process for the ERM Strategic Plan and the Risk Profiles
Conduct research related to ERM Framework, standards, and financial services industry practices as assigned by VP of ERM Program Office and present results in an actionable format.
Develop training or support as deemed necessary, to various stakeholders in order to drive awareness and understanding of ERM.
Maintain Risk and Control Self-Assessment process for the ERM Program Office
Create top quality PowerPoint presentations for presentation to internal executives, external parties, and regulators.
Other projects as assigned.
This is an individual contributor role reporting into the Vice President of the Enterprise Risk Management Program Office.
What you have:
The following qualifications are required:
Bachelor’s degree and ideally, 5 years of risk management or internal audit with a total of over 8 years of professional experience. Or an advanced degree, 4 years of risk management and a total of 7 years of professional experience.
Familiarity with the financial services oversight bodies, guidelines, laws, and regulations and the ability to review regulatory requirements and analyze risk impact to the organization and document conclusions.
Financial services industry experience is required.
Strong project management skills required, with the ability to effectively manage several projects at once and identify and implement process improvements.
Sharp critical thinking skills (creative, strategic, and practical), ability to focus on the most vital areas, problem-solving skills, and strong business and relationship judgment.
Experience in creating documents and reports for presenting to executive level audience.
Excellent document editing with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to travel occasionally - approximately 10%
The following qualifications are preferred:
Prior experience in policy management, operational risk, new product risk, board level reporting, or risk assessments.
Adept at communicating at all levels with the ability to constructively engage a diverse group of people in a productive dialogue.
Excellent presentation skills with the ability to inform and persuade both orally and in writing. Should be able to facilitate meetings with senior executives.
Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and risk management software packages.
