This role is highly technical in nature while requiring a good appreciation of the business considerations where the candidate will have a proven track record for dealing with valuation, pricing, hedging and capital market models namely for Variable Annuities. A deep understanding of Statutory & GAAP reserving methodologies along with capital market framework for VAs is a plus.
Lead project to implement Embedded Value for Americas Variable Annuity products, including managing the cross-function teams to deliver all business and technology components required to support the Embedded Value project.
Partnering with other business partners within Americas Actuarial Retail Annuities, Annuity Product Development, Reinsurance and ALM VA Hedging teams to integrate Embedded Value models and processes.
Partnering with Global Actuarial Modeling Team to optimize IT Development work and Systems support.
Develop and provide business requirements for system implementations and manage UAT testing for implementation.
Communicate Americas Variable Annuity team’s progress to the central Embedded Value Project management team.
Prepare the centralized reports for the Variable Annuity Products including the Actuarial methodology, assumptions, analysis, and results,..etc.
Manage actuarial students.
Required Qualifications
Familiar with fixed and variable annuity products.
Ability to work under minimal supervision, oversee projects that span across multiple areas, functions.
Strong verbal and written technical communication skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
FSA or near FSA.
