Senior Director Global Benefits Wellness Applied Materials Santa Clara

Job Description:
The Sr. Director of Global Benefits and Wellness will be responsible for the development of the overall employee benefit strategy and effective execution of the program, including health (medical, dental and vision), paid time off policies, retirement and wellness programs; oversight of plan design and pricing strategies, communication, administration and compliance; and coordination of benefit plans across all regions and countries with local business leaders, HR and global rewards professionals. The successful candidate will also have responsibility for the expansion of the AMP Wellness strategy which includes on site medical and fitness centers, wellbeing programs and financial incentives to help employees achieve their personal health, emotional and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the management of all US plans including open enrollment, 401K, other retirement plans, vendor management, resolution of provider issues, and government compliance.
Provides guidance and ensures that benefits responsibilities are completed in a timely manner.
Heavy interaction with benefits coordinators at multiple countries in a changing environment.
Partners with benefits consultants to ensure benefits offerings are cost effective, competitive, and aligned with corporate goals.
Develop documentation of the processes required for all benefits functions.
Review and analyze benefit trends.
Provide pricing and cost data on a global basis to corporate users for new and ongoing business development.
Manage a team of 6 employees.

Qualifications

Knowledge
Thorough and detailed knowledge of US policies, practices, procedures, laws, regulations and system tools, and technical depth and mastery in global benefits.

Education and Experience: INCUMBENTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. level degree in related field
15+ years of experience in Human Resources, including 5+ years of management experience, and 7+ years in benefits
INCUMBENTS ARE PREFERRED WHO POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:
Masters level degree in related field
High technology industry experience
Experience in support of a variety of client functions
Experience with global/multi-national organizations
Travel: Yes, 20 % of the Time
