Job Description:
The Senior Director, Costing provides the functional direction across Footwear to support UA margin strategies. In this role you will ensure that pricing strategy and objectives are consistent across the manufacturing base while striving to provide a competitive advantage for the UA Brand. You will work towards establishing a collaborative approach between HQ and Asia to ensure timely and accurate costing targets are met, along with establishing and maintaining costing initiatives across the tier 1 and 2 bases. Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Actively lead and manage costing guidelines and procedures for manufacturing and prototyping footwear in the UA Headquarters.
Utilize your footwear manufacturing process knowledge to provide competitive solutions to the costing process in line with pricing objectives.
Lead negotiations and confirmation of FOB pricing, production price adjustments, currency adjustments and supporting material consolidation efforts to enhance footwear margins.
Establish and direct a pre-costing process to ensure expectations are communicated around potential concerns in relation to target objectives.
Collaborate with Asian counterparts, pattern engineering, design, marketing and development to support the tech package and product development process.
Ensure the costing process is accurately documented from start to finish while following established timelines and calendars.

Qualifications

Knowledge of footwear or apparel/accessory construction/development/costing make you an IDEAL candidate.
Ability to work both independently and cooperatively with a diverse group of people.
Strong financial expertise for managing/compiling/analyzing and communicating financial and costing related data
Passion, passion and more passion for delivering quality footwear.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
10+years of industry experience.
Prior experience in the sports footwear industry and overseas manufacturing.
Product costing experience
Strong presentation skills
Experience developing pricing strategies and an assortment mix that supports the Brand positioning
Experience managing a team.
