Job Description:
As a Director Business Unit Strategy you are responsible for the research, synthesis and over-time execution of strategy for the Continuous Delivery BU to create amazing solutions for our customer’s hardest problems and ensure CA’s market leadership. This role requires keen analytical skills and ability to synthesize primary and secondary research into actionable insights for execution and customer benefit. A strong backgorund with Enterprise Software and SaaS solutions is a strong plus.
In This Role, You’ll Help Support CA Technologies’ Charter To Transform The IT Industry By
Providing strategic direction and acting as a thought leader with primary responsibility for developing and executing innovative strategies to expand the overall total addressable market and increase market share for Continuous Delivery
Supporting the Business Unit GM in developing a sustainable vision
Communicating the strategy/vision in such a way that Product Management and Engineering teams can execute and anticipate future needs
Building and maintaining an overall fact base of the current market, competitors and evolution of the market
Driving business case development for new product areas including M&A and partnership decisions
Acting as the key point of contact to drive Analyst interaction, relationship and influence
Working with cross functional teams to identify and develop strategic partnerships to enable the BU to explore and maximize new revenue avenues as well as to create a healthy partner ecosystem
Evangelizing Business Unit solutions to Sales and customers

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have a Demonstrated Record Of Success In Positions Of Increasing Responsibility Over The Course Of Their Career. He/she Will Have An Outstanding Track Record And Reputation For Advising Senior Leaders On Strategic Initiatives Within The IT Industry. Additional Competencies Include
Typically 7 years of experience in technology strategy and product management combined with Management Consulting experience
Excellent knowledge of the Enterprise Software Market
Strong ability to present product vision and strategy
Ability to understand and communicate the business value and ROI of installed or proposed products and solutions
Experience in defining and driving strategic programs
Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively direct operations in order to maximize revenues and profits
Excellent time management, communication, and decision-making skills
Strong executive level presentation skills
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to persuade others
Business travel of approximately 25 percent yearly is expected for this position
A Business degree supplemented with relevant business experience; an MBA is strongly preferred
