Job Description:
Cisco’s Software Operating Office (SSO) is responsible for transforming Cisco's software business; including driving new software offers, buying programs, and business capabilities for use across all Cisco product lines and markets.
The Team
The SOO Operations Team operationalizes offers and programs, driving each as a cross-functional program. These high-impact business programs are highly transformational and require changes in purchasing, fulfillment, accounting, sales, compensation, development, and much more.
Role & Responsibilities
In this highly visible role as Director, you will design and develop strategy to compensate partners selling subscription-based software enterprise customers. Duties include:
conveying our software strategy and portfolio approach; leverage these connections to advance the software business
• Represent the pricing team to a myriad of stakeholders as you communicate new concepts
• Drive and manage the pricing strategy and licensing programs to optimize revenue, market share, brand position, and long term profit of Cisco
• Employ your analytical skills and understanding of pricing management concepts to evaluate financial data
• Produce pricing forecasts that reflect how we can optimize profits and achieve a competitive edge

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelors’ Degree
• 12+ years of experience leading large, enterprise business with recent focus on XaaS or other subscription-based models
• Experience in a software business development role or a software pricing strategy role
• Business analytical skills and experience
• Outstanding communication skills – verbal and written
• Self-motivated and willing to work collaboratively with cross functional teams including sales, finance, operations, services and other business units

• Analytical and problem-solving orientation, ability to bring structure to problems effectively
• Software licensing experience
• Forward thinking; ability to proactively set policy to shape future outcomes
• Understanding of competitive and industry best practices in software licensing
• Strong customer orientation with the ability to listen, organize and champion key initiatives and projects
