Job Description:
Mashable is looking for a talented Creative Director to join our Mashable Studios team and lead the development of amazing work. We are in the business of making smart people smile, and you will help us continue this tradition for some of the top brands in the world, including Kia, Samsung, Hilton and Visa. Mashable Studios creates original video programming and branded content. This position will be concentrated on branded content. The branded content team focuses on multimedia production and cross-platform storytelling that helps our clients engage with Mashable readers onsite and across the social web.
The Day to Day
Develop great ideas with our team.
Make sure that our teams are on track when developing concepts, and that the executions are on brief, forward-thinking and held to high standard.
Make sure that our creative presentations (both internal and external) are clear, understandable, achievable, and beautiful.
Ensure our work is creatively exceptional, strategically sound, and uniquely innovative.
Manage creative staff in Branded Content, both their day-to-day responsibilities and their ongoing career development, with regular feedback and hands-on coaching.
Must Haves
A strong cross-platform portfolio and past publisher or agency work for major brands
Experience working directly with agency and brand clients
6-8 years experience in a creative role
Proven leadership and management skills
Strong familiarity with digital and social media
Ability to work well under pressure and in an extremely fast-paced environment
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Dedicated and deadline driven
Excellent writing and communication skills
Ability to multitask
