Job Description:
The Director of IT Audit leads a team of IT audit professionals in the execution of technology risk assessments, audit projects, client relationship management and staff development. This position is responsible for coordinating IT audit coverage of the Fidelity Institutional business unit. Areas of focus include Fidelity Capital Markets, Fidelity Clearing and Custody (RIA and BD correspondent businesses), Fidelity Institutional Asset Management and broker dealer operations.
The Director collaborates with peers to manage the Fidelity Institutional integrated and IT led audit plan. In addition, the Director will contribute to the execution of broader enterprise IT audit projects such as Cybersecurity, Cloud Governance, and the NIST control framework. Communication, coordination and excellent relationship management skills are critical success factors.
The Director of IT Audit promotes risk awareness in the enterprise through a positive and collaborative relationship with IT and business executives and staff. In addition to oversight of audit execution, the Director of IT Audit meets regularly with senior IT and business executives to discuss audits, assess risks, evaluate issue remediation progress, provide feedback and gather insights on IT activities. This position has high visibility and provides significant opportunities to network with senior IT and business executives. Likewise, the Director of IT Audit participates as a leader within the Fidelity Corporate Audit team. In this capacity, the Director collaborates with peers to identify and address opportunities to enhance audit processes, staff development and other audit activities
The Director fosters high performance, continuous learning and collaborative interactions within a team of IT audit professionals. As the team leader, the Director is responsible for recruitment of new team members as well as coaching and development planning for existing team members.
Primary Responsibilities
Oversee ongoing risk assessments and collaborate with other Fidelity Corporate Audit teams to build and continuously reevaluate the annual audit plan.
Lead delivery of the audit plan through effective scheduling and oversight
Motivate and develop a team of IT audit professionals by establishing goals and training plans and providing regular performance feedback
Develop and expand relationships with IT and business executives and Corporate Audit teammates

Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in information systems, accountancy or related field of study.
10 years professional experience with 5+ years leading IT audit or IT professionals.
Proven experience and strong competency in project management, risk and control assessment, and audit skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and motivate others.
Strategic thinker with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Team player who takes initiative and works constructively with other senior leaders to achieve goals.
Hands-on work style and "can do" attitude with a strong desire to make things happen.
Preferred Qualifications
A Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline
A current certification in at least one of the following: CISA, CPA, CFE, CISSP, CISM.
IT audit or technology management experience within the financial services industry; ideally experience with broker dealer operations, capital markets, and/or risk management
