Senior Director eCommerce Fulfillment Groupon Chicago

Job Description:
The Senior Director of eCommerce Fulfillment will have responsibility for developing and operating the entire Groupon eCommerce product fulfillment network and ensure customer service levels and cost targets are achieved.
The role will be responsible for leading a network of 5 Groupon owned and 3PL fulfillment centers located across the US and Canada. The ideal candidate is someone with a background in Warehouse operations, executive leadership, systems and order management, startup operations, and P&L management. Groupon Goods is in a period of extreme eCommerce growth and this position is critical is getting from a startup operation to one of scale and success for the long-term.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of eCommerce fulfillment center operations and oversee local operations teams in each FC.

• Own warehouse P&L expense line. Set aggressive targets for low-cost operations and beat all targets.

• Set and execute to service level metrics consistently across each fulfillment center, both Groupon owned and 3PL

• Develop a consistent order management function to ensure that orders are routed to the correct FCs and the network is managed efficiently.

• Develop new fulfillment center locations in conjunction with network planning team as the business warrants the expansion

• Lead high impact operational and system programs to implement new ways of operating and driving low-cost product fulfillment

• Build a championship team across all of the fulfillment centers with a focus on growth and succession planning at each level within the organization

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in a large e-Commerce organization

• Previous experience successfully managing P&L

• Experience with identifying, implementing, and managing KPIs for warehouse facilities

• Experience with establishing large-scale fulfillment centers from inception to fruition

• Previous management experience including hiring, building teams, and leading large employee populations

• Ability to establish strategy, align others to a strategic vision, and drive for results

• Strong interpersonal savvy and experience partnering across functional areas in a large organization

• Candidate will be located or willing to relocate to the Chicago area

• Travel as needed with approximately 30-50% expectation
