Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Sr. Vice President of SBS, the Director of Professional Services (DPS) is a dynamic sales leader capable of developing, implementing and supporting strategies in order to grow revenues associated with the SBS Professional Services Sales programs. The Director Professional Services will be required to work closely with professional services specialists located throughout the country in order to develop and grow pipelines and penetrate existing client base on a national level. It is also the expectation that the DPS conducts constant analysis to identify challenges, internally and externally to achieving sales and profit goals and to institute immediate and appropriate countermeasure planning actions.
Identifies, creates and implements best practices and policies for the growth and development of a national sales strategy for SBS professional services
Initiates and manages vendor relations to develop a consistent suite of software offerings across the enterprise
Serves as the “go to” resource for vendor contract/pricing negotiations
Intercedes with vendors when needed with any support escalation issues
Identifies key areas for individual branch professional services sales growth and works closely with Branch Presidents and GSMs to implement growth strategies
Creates, promotes and implements standard, integrated go to market strategy for the entire SBS sales organization
Develops, implements and monitors effectiveness of SBS Sales training programs as they pertain to professional services sales
Works closely with applications sales and other professional services sales specialists within branches to identify new sales opportunities
Periodically reviews individual branch professional services sales performance and makes recommendations for change as needed
May assist setting up of new professional services customers as needed
May, on occasion, accompany professional services specialists on site walkthroughs with customers and potential customers to gain a better understanding of client needs and preferences.
May provide both pre-sale and post-sale support to the branch sales staff with regards to professional services products as needed
Establishes a training program to be utilized by professional services sales specialists in the field to train clients how to used managed services products to enhance their organization’s abilities
Trains and educates branch sales staff as needed


BA/BS degree or equivalent
10+ years as senior level sales or business development manager
15 + direct industry sales experience
5 years experience in application sale or similar professional services position
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills including an ability to follow-up to ensure closure of issues
Must be able and willing to travel up to 50% of time
