Director Account Global CPG Experience Leo Burnett Chicago

Job Description:
Leo Burnett is seeking an Account Director to lead one of our most awarded CPG brands. Given the high standards and the complexity of the client, this role requires someone who has worked on category leaders within the CPG category to ensure they can make an immediate impact with knowledge of CPG language, operations and the culture of the client.
The Account Director needs to be a natural leader, resourceful, self-starter, strategic and creative. They will be part of a global agency team with counterparts located in several different hubs around the world, which will require building/maintaining strong relationships and leading remotely. Given this, the Account Director must quickly learn the business and key issues and opportunities for the brand in each of the key countries/regions around the world, collaborate with their internal team and senior-level clients to lead strategic POVs, challenge all parties (internal and external) for the best work possible. This person will report into Global Leadership in Chicago to develop recommendations on global brand and portfolio strategies.

This role requires someone that can manage all levels of client relationships from Brand Managers to the Group President. It will also be imperative to develop strong relationships with our regional agency partners.

This person will be tasked to partner with the clients and internal team to bring to life an integrated campaign across TV, print, digital/social and new media.

Desired Skills and Experience
8-12 years of brand marketing/advertising experience, with at least 4 years on the agency side.
CPG experience is a must!!!
Serving as an integral part of a global agency team with people located in several different hubs around the world is a must!!
Is fluent/has experience in new media, social strategy, always on models and is able to help regional teams make progress in these areas.
Passion for continuously generating, pursuing and facilitating the production of innovative ideas for improving the clients and agency's strategic and competitive advantage.
Highly functional in collaborative cross-functional team leadership.
Understanding of how to drive integration of resources and lay the groundwork to develop and sell superlative creative product.
Candidates must be idea leaders. This person should be full of new ideas and have a willingness to lead the team in new or different directions.
