Job Description:
Daintree Networks is seeking a creative, hard-working and technology-savvy Sr. Product Marketing Manager (can be Director-level based on experience) to help drive success for the company’s solution for smart building energy management.
The Product Marketing Manager (or Director based on experience) will report to the VP of Marketing & Channels, and will have a unique opportunity to drive all efforts to drive marketing content, sales tools, customer loyalty, and channel marketing, We’re looking for someone with a proven performance record who is willing to take on new challenges and grow with us as we expand our leadership in this exciting market.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for positioning and messaging across all product lines and for the company. Ensure that positioning and messaging is incorporated in all company collateral and web site.
Responsible for outstanding marketing collateral, professional Web site and other marketing documents.
Responsible for getting requirements from the customers, prospects, partners, analysts and other industry players to provide important product feedback to the product management team.
Create Powerpoint presentations that reflect the latest and most appropriate messaging taking into account industry developments, product differentiators and interests of the audience.
Create Customer Loyalty programs to ensure that we are constantly seeking customer feedback and making changes to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.
Responsible for strategic marketing initiatives including segmentation, new markets, market size analysis, new marketing programs to propagate Daintree’s solutions.
Actively spearhead guerrilla marketing including posting messages on message boards, spread the word at conferences, etc.
Spearhead thought leadership projects. For example, create an industry council with industry luminaries, partners, and customers, write white papers and articles on industry topics, etc.
Actively participate in the creation of an industry advisory board.
Recommend and implement new ideas to increase brand awareness of the company with optimized cost structure.
Spearhead the company’s blog and contribute to social media efforts including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, and others as appropriate.
Create a customer forum and user group meetings.
Create and conduct surveys customer and industry that can be leveraged for PR, product improvement, and strategic initiatives.
Create a customer referral program to help increase revenues for the company.
Desired Skills And Experience
A minimum of five years’ experience in product marketing/strategic marketing. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of strategic marketing including positioning and messaging, thought leadership etc.
The ideal candidate will have significant depth in outbound marketing, including creation of excellent power point presentations, various sales tools, guerrilla marketing, etc.
Experience in social media.
Candidate will have excellent writing skills, with proficiency in reaching multiple audiences.
Experience in software, cloud, and/or services.
Experience in a start-up company.
Experience in clean-tech/energy management products is desirable.
Channel marketing experience a plus.
Ability to develop and deliver concise, compelling messages.
Extensive use of Microsoft Office products and CRM applications.
Experience in software and/or services or appliance companies
High energy, enthusiastic and excellent team player.
Positive attitude.
BA/BS; MBA desirable.
