Director Workforce Planning Raytheon Richardson

Job Description:
This position will lead the Human Resources component for Raytheon IIS’ strategic workforce planning initiative, working collaboratively with Engineering, BD, IT, Finance and the Mission Areas to develop and implement an accurate, reliable workforce planning process (demand). Further, this position will analyze market intelligence and talent pipelines (supply) to assist the development and implementation of IIS’ long term strategic staffing plan.
This position provides a unique, high visibility opportunity to lead a critical business initiative. The workforce planning leader will lead a small team and work across the matrix to produce a reliable workforce planning process. This position reports into the Vice President of Human Resources and is located in either Richardson, TX or Dulles, VA.

Primary Responsibilities Include



· HR Leader for IIS’ workforce planning.

· Development and implementation of an integrated and comprehensive workforce planning process/toolset that improves labor and skillset requirement forecasting analysis, accuracy and solution planning.

· Integration of the current forecast tools (GovWin, BPS, ELF) and other variables, such as market supply and the ability to develop internal talent quickly.

· Provides strategic analysis, consultation and support to business and corporate stakeholders to assess, evaluate, project and address short term (1-6 month), mid-range (6 month-3 year), and long range (3-5 year) workforce planning needs.

· Use predictive modeling to identify talent and skills required to accomplish business goals.

· Partners and consults with a broad range of constituents, including area and regional leaders, managers and labor partners in a matrix environment to develop strategies to assess, evaluate and address issues that impact workforce needs.

· Partnering effectively with business and functional stakeholders in a matrix environment.

· Benchmark workforce data against industry norms.

· Provides flexible, innovative, and agile workforce solutions (talent acquisition and development) that meet the labor demands of the business.

· Manages internal communications and change management plans for workforce planning.

· Develops executive-level presentations and presents findings to leadership and stakeholders.

· Develops and provides training to increase competency for HR employees rotating into WFP support roles

Required Skills, Knowledge And Experience



· Proven program management experience and proficiencies

· Demonstrated ability to lead and drive results through multi-functional teams

· Experience conducting deep background research via the Internet and other publicly available resources

· Experience analyzing company data (i.e., annual reports, web sites, industry research, etc.)

· Demonstrated ability to learn internal & external business terminology, discern salient details, application of analytical techniques

· Strong communication and presentation skills – written, verbal and graphical;

· Ability to analyze, interpret, synthesize and present complex information

· Ability to summarize and effectively present technical findings to non-technical personnel

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, follow-through on both verbal and written instructions, and have the ability and flexibility to multi -task, prioritize, and organize multiple projects/tasks concurrently while meeting required deadlines;

· Strong proficiencies in MS Office, including Visio, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and rapidly respond to requests

· Minimum 14 Years professional HR experience



Desired Skills, Knowledge And Experience



· Successfully implemented a workforce planning strategy in a large, complex business

· Familiarity with workforce planning methods such as advanced statistics and forecasting

· Experience in human resources, talent acquisition, business analysis, industry research, management consulting, strategic planning, or quantitative analysis

· Experience with change management methodologies

· Working knowledge of aerospace and defense industry

· Familiarity with tools such as MS Access and SQL

Required Education (including Major)



· Bachelor’s in a field such as: Business, Quantitative methods, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Mgmt Information Systems, Human Capital, Economics, or Finance or equivalent year work experience.

· MBA Preferred.
