Manage and direct the tax compliance, accounting, audit and planning functions of the Tax Department (International and Domestic) from a high-level, strategic and Global standpoint.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Know and understand the Global strategic directions.
Define, develop and implement a Tax strategy which contributes to the Global strategic directions.
Develop an understanding of the Global business strategy as it pertains to Finance and Tax.
Provide regular updates to the Treasurer and CFO on the execution of the strategy.
Plan and direct all aspects of Jabil Circuit’s International and Domestic tax policies and objectives.
Oversee the compliance, accounting, audit and planning functions of the Tax Department on a Global basis.
Formulate and administer tax strategies, in conjunction with outside tax counsel where applicable.
Manage the tax impact, result and company position on all acquisition, merger and disposition activities.This includes developing and communicating tax issues related to transaction structure, and the performance of tax due diligence.
Interact with Jabil Circuit personnel at all levels in order to identify and address tax issues, including tax savings opportunities.
Errors may impact profits through penalties and interest charges, or through audit adjustments by taxing authorities.
Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.
Assure that procedures and work instructions are efficient and not redundant.
Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately.
Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
Ability to travel.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
Master’s Degree in Accounting or Tax
CPA certificate and 15 years of tax-related experience, including at least 5 years experience in a supervisory or management role within a Tax department.
Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
