Time Warner Cable Business Services department currently seeks a Director, Market Development at our New York, NY location. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
The purpose of this position is to oversee regional construction in a manner consistent with Time Warner Cable policies, procedures, quality standards, customer needs and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Essential Job Functions
Manages the Serviceability Process.Manages overall financial viability of jobs requiring capital expenditure.Identifies and tracks commercial construction in the East Region.Assists in management of Right of Entry activities across the region.Serves as a liaison to to all Division Construction staff and commercial vendors.Assists in developing projects costs, new construction budgets, costs containment and capital expenditures forecasts.Manages transition of newly constructed areas to marketing/sales and operations.Communicates project plans and status to management.Provides guidance and direction to a division integrated staff.Assists in hiring, disciplinary action, staff development, goal formulation and performance reviews.Supports company's policies and procedures including AA/EEO goals.Assists in developing and managing the annual regional construction department plans and associated forecasts and budgets.Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
7+ years previous experience in telecommunications construction, design, planning, or physical plant documentation preferred.Experience in technical operations and construction techniques required.Prior supervisory experience requiredAbility to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and/or technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications required.Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously to completion required.Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with management, co-workers, and customers required.Accuracy and attention to detail required.Valid driver's license and compliance with Time Warner Cable's vehicle safety operations policy required.
Education Level
Bachelors Degree in related field and seven years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Legal or Financial Responsibilities:
