Qualys seeks an experienced professional to lead PR and Analyst Relations. We strive for a quantum leap in our already-strong corporate reputation, staking our claim as the emerging leader in enterprise security with both technical and business audiences. The candidate will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and must be skilled at all aspects of PR, including messaging/storytelling, media relations, agency management and analyst relations. We seek someone who can contribute to the strategic vision and then roll up his or her sleeves and execute.
Experience
Minimum of 6+ combined years of PR & writing/ editing experience in a B2B high-tech business, preferably security software
Extra consideration for candidates with a journalism background
Experience managing PR agencies; international experience preferred
Experience working closely with industry analysts
Experience with social media
BS/BA degree required; MBA a plus
Knowledge/Skills
Solid understanding and comfort with enterprise software and cloud technology, preferably within the context of IT security
Demonstrate skills with a portfolio of writing samples
Excellent verbal and written skills, able to effectively communicate internally and externally
Strong business acumen who can effectively communicate to C-level audiences
Initiative and drive; does not wait for detailed direction
