The GEM Director Of Digital Products is responsible for developing Digital strategy and conceiving of new Digital business opportunities for Stanley Black & Decker Global Emerging Markets. Secondary role to manage online retailers across global markets. They will partner with Stanley Black & Decker business teams in the development of strategy and work with software engineering teams to deliver the strategy. The candidate will marry Digital industry trends, knowledge of Stanley Black & Decker businesses and software engineering to deliver products to the market.
Develops Digital strategy for all regions of Global Emerging Markets
Key contact with one or more business units to guide business unit digital strategy, develop project concepts and business models
Performs Digital Technology research
Performs Business Market research in Global Emerging Markets
Develops financial projections
Works with the business to gather requirements, prioritizes and translates into Epics and User Stories
Oversees projects within large matrix organization of IT and digital software teams.
Evaluates performance of software products and recommends enhancements and changes
Act as the account manager for online retailers that are direct customers of SBD i.e. Amazon, TMall etc.
Qualifications
Expert in Product Management.
Adept knowledge of global markets; China, India, Russia and Latin America.
Expert role that can work without direct team and leverage the matrix.
High degree of competency in technology scanning, understanding new business models, roadmap development and business case development.
Demonstrate expert human relations and influencing skills that drive results and promote continuous process improvement and maturation
Demonstrate competency in strategic thinking, industry best-practice, and commanding leadership.
High degree of proficiency in Agile software development practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Strong business acumen to quickly learn new business processes and understand how technology can support the business in achieving revenue and profit goals.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant subject area, or equivalent industry experience
8+ years of professional experience in technology related roles.
Reporting & Location:
Direct report to CIO -GEM
Prefer role to be based in Miramar FL able to travel 25-30% to global markets.
