Responsibilities
Reporting to the Vice President of Commercial Sales, the Director of Commercial Sales will be responsible for selling launch services to new and existing customers including Satellite Operators and manufacturers.
Utilize professional selling and business development techniques combined with product knowledge to market SpaceX launch and other services.
Develop SpaceX Launch Services in designated region.
A particular area of focus in this position will be working with domestic satellite manufacturers to address business and technical issues that arise in working with SpaceX as well as with satellite operators worldwide.
Represent SpaceX in various forums and impart detailed information about SpaceX.
Support a minimum of 50% travel in support of designated region.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical or electrical engineering required.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in an engineering role is required.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a business development and sales focused role is required.
Preferred Skills And Experience
MBA or Master's degree with business or engineering focused curriculum.
Demonstrated track record of closing deals in innovative companies where technical aptitude is needed to acquire client business and close sales deals.
Multilingual
Experience in launch or satellite industry desired, but not required.
Strong analytical skills on both business and technical issues.
Additional Requirements
Ability to work from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters.
