Director Solutions Architect Oracle Financials Gap Inc. Pleasanton

Job Description:
The Solutions Architect (Director - Oracle Financials) provides broad and deep knowledge of the business areas including current and future industry directions and solutions. Actively engages with technical leads of key vendors (Oracle, IBM) influencing product roadmaps and securing commitments for the inclusion of new capabilities required to support Gap, Inc enterprise strategies in future releases. This role requires subject matter expertise in Oracle Financials and understands not only how to leverage technology and tools to effectively drive business solutions, but also, affect adoption of new and enhanced systems.

This role is the domain expert and key facilitator within the organization, architecting solutions while acting as a bridge between the business stakeholders and the delivery team. This role is accountable to ensure that the solution architecture secures the integrity of the financial data used in the Finance & Real Estate application suite and is in compliance meeting generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).

Key Accountabilities & Result Areas

50% - Project Lifecycle. Lead and deliver enterprise evaluations and analyses that adhere to established global IT project and requirements management methodologies, governance/check-point, release management, and tools standards for approved projects requiring IT solutions.This includes assessing a specific opportunity, evaluating requirements, project leadership, acceptance testing, rollout & training, change management, and evaluation of domain and cross-domain initiatives. Technical oversight and hands engagement with large number of resources across delivery teams.

35% - Subject Matter Expertise. This includes serving as the business consultant for problem solving challenges or when business users take on new opportunities with the existing technology stack (e.g. technology & process changes that need to occur to support the implementation of a new pipeline; how data structures are impacted by new corporate technology initiatives like IGP (International Growth Platform).



10% - Production Support. Optimize the end-to-end processes, rationalize, standardize, simplify, and/or modernize our stock ledgers, store Finance, invoice matching and Real Estate accounting processes. Ensure system accuracy, SOX compliance and production SLA’s are met and maintained.

5% - Staff Development. Provides coaching & mentoring in building high performance teams
