Director Risk Safety ADP Los Angeles

Job Description:
ADP is hiring a Director of Risk & Safety. The position is accountable and responsible for the coordination of client Field Risk & Safety activities within a defined region or territory. The primary functions are to provide direct supervision to the Field Risk & Safety Consultant staff and to insure that the Risk & Safety Consultant Field staff delivers a high level of risk management and worksite safety service to clients and, at the same time, limit the potential financial liability to ADP TotalSource.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining adequate staffing levels within the defined area to insure service levels are maintained. Assist other ADP TotalSource departments and/or clients with the resolution of any issues that are directly related to the risk management or worksite safety.

The positions reports directly to the Sr Director of Risk & Safety with indirect reporting to the area General Managers.

Responsibilities for management of workflow assignments, coaching with direct supervisory authority, initiates and administers pay, career development, hire & termination, and management of others activities towards completion performance objectives

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct supervision of a Risk & Safety Consultants to insure risk and safety control services per department guidelines.
Work directly with other TotalSource department associates including the Area General Manager, Financial Executive, Client Service Executive, Client Retention Executives, HRBP, Payroll Representative to assist with the resolution of specific client issues directly related to Risk Management
Work directly with other TotalSource risk department associates including the Audit, Policy Management and Claims to assist with the resolution of specific client issues directly related to Risk Management
Establish a mentoring relationship with Risk & Safety Consultants for the purpose of aiding in the associates professional development.
Act as a chairperson for the Area's (Region's) Risk Improvement Program.
Together with input from the associate establish annual performance goals. Assess the level of annul goal achievements and provide feedback to the associate including coaching and counseling.
Provide career path and professional development plans for all direct reports.
Regularly utilize available management reports used to measure direct reports level of performance.
Provide feedback to the associate as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Education & Experience with Major or Area of Concentration in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygience, Engineering, Risk Management or related field.
3-5 years of practical loss control experience as Loss Control Representative working for an insurance carrier, other insurance-related business or Professional Employer Organization (PEO) or Administrative Service Offering (ASO).
Appropriate job experience in an industrial setting as a safety professional may be substituted for Loss Control Representative work for an insurance carrier, other insurance-related business, or PEO/ASO experience.
Post graduate education in risk management, engineering, safety, or industrial health discipline maybe substituted for experience requirements
Travel: 15%
