Your Task
• Conduct market and user research to uncover insights and trends about Dictionary.com’s core audience that inform a strategy to expand the target market with new applications
• Apply a test and learn philosophy to perform 100’s of experiments that inform new products strategy and optimize existing products
• Develop business plans to justify investment in new product opportunities
• Partner with a cross functional team including UX, Engineering, Content and Analytics to move from idea to prototype to market with products that shape the dictionary category
• Gather requirements, define features, write specs and user stories to communicate functionality and incorporate feedback effectively to facilitate efficient development cycles
• Prioritize the backlog to ensure that most valuable features are shipped first with a fail fast philosophy
• Analyze and present data and metrics to support decisions and prioritization
• Own key performance indicators, revenue and traffic goals across a portfolio of consumer products. Partner with monetization and analytics teams to accurately model initiatives and forecast growth
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, content, marketing and finance teams to align goals for your products with other initiatives
Desired Skills and Experience
4+ years of demonstrated success in product ownership roles to launch, scale and sustain successful consumer web products and mobile applications (IOS/Android)
• History of launching and supporting products with 10’s of millions of users
• Strong analytical ability to assess complex situations and exceptional creativity to provide solutions
• Proven history of synthesizing qualitative and quantitative user research and usability study outputs to ship successful products
• Demonstrated experience using agile product discovery and development strategies
• Business strategy and goal oriented in approach to decision making, prioritization and performance measurement
• Technically astute and able to collaborate with cross functional teams including UX, Engineering, Marketing, Content and Analytics
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Self-driven and tireless in the pursuit of high quality results in a fast paced environment
