Job Description:
The Director of Global Payments Strategy will develop and drive the long term vision for customer payment acceptance at Hyatt through close partnerships with Finance, IT, Legal, Operations, Marketing and other departments as needed.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Develop, own and drive the long term strategic plan for customer payment acceptance at Hyatt
Responsible for consolidating, negotiating and general management of global and regional merchant service agreements
Coordinates and drives annual business reviews with merchant processing partners
Evaluate, plan & coordinate implementation of new payment types, channels and solutions
Manage and optimize cost of acceptance
Develop and update policies, procedures and best practices related to payment acceptance, processing and dispute management
Drives communication of essential changes, initiatives and best practices to stakeholders
Provide support to various areas of the Company, including, but not limited to, hotels, Shared Services, Regional Offices and IT
Partner with the business leads for the Company’s co-branded card, as well as commercial card programs.
Understand customer needs and industry trends through conferences, interviews, focus groups, etc.
Perform ad-hoc analyses to support strategic decisions across the organization
Job Related Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in Finance, Management or equivalent field
7-10 years of relevant experience in the payments industry
Proven leadership skills and advanced project management experience
Proven ability to develop financial models and communicate clearly for decision making
Experience in identifying and prioritizing improvement opportunities
Strong analytical skills to solve ambiguous and complex business problems
Excellent communication, influencing and relationship management skills
Demonstrated ability to execute through cross-functional collaboration
Ability and willingness to travel as needed
