Director Training Skincare L'Oréal New York City

Job Description:
Under the direction of the GM, execute training and education programs designed to develop a highly trained, expert Vichy and La Roche Posay Skincare advisor staff in Skincare centers in select drug store channel, with the goal of driving retail sales achievement.

Operational Responsibilities
Collaborate with Marketing team and Account Management in planning timely education and training objectives, taking into consideration promotional calendar and retailer conflicts and any factors necessary to properly support retail sales achievement.

Assist in the design and development leader’s guides, participant workbooks, collateral, and audio-visual programs. Maintain awareness of trends in presentation methods and equipment (example: CD-ROM) and how they can be applied to the Vichy business.

Develop and execute product training for all Beauty Advisors and retail partners.

Participate in Marketing/Education meetings for awareness of product and program launches, line extensions, product positioning updates, etc.

Complete seminar tracking/recap reports after each seminar, reporting on attendees’ performance, budget details etc.

Coordinate all training logistics requirements and negotiate best possible prices with all necessary vendors (hotels, audio visual, catering, room set-up, etc.).

Support education/sales events as needed.

Participate in Sales Meetings as requested.

Budget responsibilities: complete all projects on time and within budget guidelines; adhere to T&E budget; prepare budget recap at the end of each training.
Program Development


Initiate needs analysis for new and existing training programs with end users. Present recommendations and strategy to Director.

Ensure contents of existing and new training programs coincide with Vichy and La Roche Posay objectives, i.e. change in product positioning, focus products, price increases, product name/description changes, selling strategies, etc.

Business Communication Responsibilities


Keep abreast of competitors’ activities and actively share information and ideas that will impact future success for La Roche Posay and Vichy.

Reinforce training/education in all product seminars and it’s relation to the service business.

Personally demonstrate effective techniques for “suggestive service linking” and “linking service sales to product sales.”

Create, review and update selling techniques, inclusive of “how to open, build and close” a service sale/product sale.


Requirements


College degree and/or minimum 7 years experience in developing and executing HBA/cosmetic sales and training programs.

Ability to travel 40-50% or as necessary to meet the training objectives and business needs of key accounts. Preference is to have candidates reside near the New York City office but open to other locations.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Computer literate in PowerPoint, Excel, MS Word, Acrobat.

Valid US drivers license.

Strongly prefer candidate to live near the New York City office but not essential.
