Job Description:
The Director, Education and Development will lead all aspects of Education and Development for 23,000+ FTE teammates throughout a chain of 2,200+ nationwide retail locations. This role is responsible for creating the strategic development of all education and development needs for the team as well as the day-to-day allocation of resources. The role is expected to support the education and development of retail sales, management and automotive teammates. Act as a liaison with senior management, strategic business partners and field education teams to ensure teammates are provided with world class education and development opportunities necessary for providing exceptional customer service in all aspects of our business. Work with senior management, and other departments to identify and provide the resources required to ensure high competency levels for all our teammates.

Create and lead the strategic direction for all education and development initiatives within the retail chain
Formulate multi-year strategic training and development plan to support development and compliance training needs
Develop and deliver wide variety of programs using internal resources, external resources and vendors, with classroom and online delivery modules
Assess and monitor effectiveness of development and training initiatives utilizing quantifiable metrics
Leverage the performance management program to support the development of teammates and link the business strategy to individual performance
Direct sales, management, administrative, compliance, customer service and automotive technical development initiatives including: conducting needs assessments, creating and developing course content, facilitate training sessions and measuring effectiveness of training
Design, build and manage a education department to meet the diverse and dynamic needs of a growing, evolving organization
Work with leaders within the organization to ensure education strategies and programs align with business objectives
Identify strategic opportunities to evaluate and advance existing training methods and tools for the growth and improvement of business performance
Will oversee a team of 15 direct reports.
