Job Description:
Be part of a powerful team as Business Development Director located in North America whose primary focus is to manage the global sales and business development for the Professional Graphics Workstation and Server based product lines of AMD through our channel. The successful candidate will work closely with our Channel Partners, OEM, ODM, and ISV partners to achieve their sales targets. The ideal candidate needs to have a background in the broad base distribution of professional/workstation/server graphics and experience working with distributors, resellers, DMR and etail partners as well as end users and multinational corporations.
Job Requirements
Minimum of 10 15 years related experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience selling into manufacturing/design related accounts.
Demonstrated experience in working within the ecosystem for professional graphics.
Significant proven experience in successfully meeting quota and delivering on commitments.
Documented successful history of selling to large enterprise accounts.
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
The right candidate can be located anywhere in the US or Canada - preferred Sunnyvale, Austin or Markham. Travel is required primarily Germany & UK., also downstream channel partner locations quarterly.
Objectives
Maximize the sales of AMD Professional Graphics products through the channel.
Align internal AMD resources and our channel partner resources to ensure a seamless business process, appropriate inventory allocations, consistent pricing structures, etc. to support the growth of a global channel business.
Consistently grow our channel business quarter over quarter by adding value added resellers as well as workstation and other integrators.
Align physical and financial marketing resources to insure maximum ROI of any expenditure of these resources.
Evaluate opportunities for new business models and determine how they fit AMDs goals.
Responsibilities Include
Achieve financial goals for the global channel.
Work with the AMD regional BDM teams as well as our channel partners to assure our channel deal pipeline grows week over week.
Evangelize AMD Pro Graphics products for Desktop, Mobile, Cloud, Compute and VDI.
Partner with product marketing and other BU resources to align AMD capabilities with the needs of the customer.
Manage the engagement. The BDM is responsible for charting the path from first meeting to deal closure.
Remove business roadblocks making sure the opportunities have the greatest chance of success.
Align with other AMD sales resources selling other server products into like accounts.
