Responsible for defining an overarching information management & data integration architecture that supports opportunities to create business value.
Provides vision for overall data warehouse architectural blueprint related to information management & integration with existing transactional and reporting systems.
Owns the vision, development, & implementation of an enterprise wide information architecture roadmap including operational data stores, data warehouse, & integration with systems.
Essential Responsibilities
Creates and maintains data architecture to increase the performance, and scalability of data systems.
Assess project alignment to the overall architectural blueprint.
Responsible for the creation, maintenance and the application of all data models.
Designs and develops a common methodology in the development of new database components, owning data flows, data maps, and standards for data usage and data governance for build teams.
Leads the database analysis, design, and build effort accounting for requirements, including data volume, frequency needs, and long-term data growth and ensures that quality requirements are met.
Ability to work with existing system teams to integrate data from source systems and rationalize the data into a common warehouse model.
Researches and documents information architecture standards and best practices. Establish and run a Data Governance council.
Researches and test new tools relating to data warehousing, data profiling, analytics and advanced analytics.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of IT experience
10+ years’ experience using data warehouse, business intelligence, and data analytics products.
5+ years’ experience with complex data modelling methodologies and tools
5+ years’ experience with two or more database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, SQL Server, etc.)
Experience in creating and maintaining end-to-end data architectures including operational systems and data warehouse.
Experience working with metadata and data quality concepts and tools
