Director Audience Partnership Analytics Daily Mail New York City

Job Description:
The Director of Audience & Partnership Analytics is responsible for reporting and analysis of daily audience traffic patterns for DailyMail.com & Elite Daily in addition to supporting marketing & sales to create partnership opportunities based on data, not assumptions.

The role comprises of 80% time spent working with the US sales and marketing teams on revenue driving opportunities and 20% gathering and analyze of daily audience traffic data, making recommendations on audience segmentation and thought leadership opportunities.

This role will lead Sales & Marketing training to make staff is self-sufficient using comScore and other qualitative analysis tools.

This role will report to US commercial (sales) team, and will also respond to questions from the editorial / product teams as needed. They will have a close working relationship with the central Data Reporting and Analysis team based in London.

You are an excellent communicator and self-starter who makes sure everyone is educated on the latest trafficking analytics. You make sure that we have 100% accuracy on all materials and communications.

You hunt and love data and develop concise studies to examine our audience quantitative and qualitative behavior. You know how to tell stories with data that are clear and sales friendly. You develop third party studies that turn into excellent Case Studies.

You’re on top of the latest in analytics and have decent relationships with major & minor third party agencies to call upon in a pinch. You’re an expert in Omniture and comScore.

You’re fast, process oriented and have experience managing small teams.

Lastly, you have no issues raising a red flag with anyone in the organization when something “doesn’t look right” because no one knows our numbers better than you do.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and report on audience & traffic performance
Extract meaning and suggest action items from data, not just report metrics. Tell a good story.
Create scalable, innovative approaches to extracting, managing, and analyzing data for partners.
Contribute data-driven content regularly to the sales, marketing & editorial and product team based on customer behavior data and other learning.
Develop vision for analytics architecture, various predictive models, and efficient workflow across marketing.
Requirements:

BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.
Experience with analytic techniques, statistical modeling, and web analytics technologies.
Ability to extract meaning and suggest action items from data, not just report metrics.
Excellent communications skills when working with teammates who may be either data-driven or more qualitative.
Expert in Omniture, comScore, DAX, Loteme, Microsoft Excel, and Google Analytics, at a minimum.
Deep understanding of web-related behaviors and trends
