Great opportunity with the Tampa YMCA Association to join this dynamic, $34.4 million charity. We are seeking a proven, self-motivated, cause-driven wellness professional to join our South Tampa team. Serving a membership base of over 5,000 households, the Sr. Wellness Director will be accountable for all member connection and retention initiatives relative to the wellness center and related programming. The Sr. Wellness Director will have a proven track record and passion for exercise, nutrition, healthy living and helping others live a healthier lifestyle. Additional skills in developing small groups, personal training, group exercise, and community health outreach are needed. The Sr. Wellness Director will be responsible for leading the wellness services team, fiscal management, relationship building, supervision of staff, volunteer development, new program creation and growth, and for being a YMCA advocate in the community.
This position will model the behavioral values established by the Association. In addition, they will be responsible for all wellness related targets established in the Vision 2020 strategic plan along with various Association team initiatives. The position will work with and report directly to the Membership Executive to provide the highest quality service and an exceptional member experience for all. This position is responsible for establishing the YMCA as the leader and a pacesetter for wellness programs throughout the Tampa Bay area. She/he will be required to work flexible hours, especially during peak times of facility usage that include some weekends and holidays.
