As an Art Director for Video, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing an ongoing series of videos for Apple. These videos could take the form of documentaries about our users, scripted narratives, or more conceptual pieces — with a range in tonality from humorous to serious. In this role, you’ll generate ideas for videos, craft compelling visuals, and then work with various members of the team to realize these stories. The process involves a lot of collaboration, but ultimately, you will own these high-profile projects.
You’ll be accountable for the successful execution of the art direction and creative on your projects.
You’ll need to be an active collaborator with internal creative partners such as copywriters, editors, directors, and freelancers.
Your visual designs need to make the technology understandable and the stories compelling.
You’ll regularly review work with Creative Directors and Associate Creative Directors to get feedback on direction and to make sure the work is on brief and appropriate for the Apple brand.
You may also help present your work to executive staff members within the company.
Education Details
BA or BS degree preferred.
Key Qualifications
Ability to create beautiful, well-designed visuals.
Ability to develop innovative creative work that’s in line with the strategy.
An ability to communicate complex information about technology into easy-to-understand, compelling stories.
Experience with film, video, or commercial projects.
The ability to help shape and refine the visuals in the edit.
Attention to detail in both design, composition, and editing.
Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
Great presentation skills.
The ability to clearly explain and defend your work in meetings and reviews.
A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience — agency or otherwise.
You should be an enthusiastic collaborator and be open to other people’s ideas. But at the same time, you need to show initiative and have accountability for the work you present.
The ability to work and play nicely with others.
