Job Description
Digital Developed Market Product team is focused on building additional flexibility into our existing platform architecture to more quickly launch new, innovative offerings that create tremendous value for payments aggregators (e.g. Financial Institutions, Merchants, Processors, and Emerging Payments Providers) and delight end consumer users. To effect this transformation, we are looking for digital savvy product management leaders who are passionate about innovating and delivering truly differentiated user experiences for specific marketplaces. This leader will be responsible for identification and prioritization of all the common platform/infrastructure needs for our DDM products.

This is a cross functional role so organizational savvy and interpersonal skills are critical, as we interface with other specialized product groups, financial institution, merchants, operations, technology, risk, analytics, security and marketing, to coordinate the build, launch and support of new and existing products. Visa is looking for individuals that are senior thought leaders in product management with a proven track record of success in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines.

Successful candidates will take ownership for the supporting infrastructure components and ensure new product capabilities are consistent with our product strategy, increase usage, and ultimately build Visa brand loyalty. This position may require occasional travel to client sites and Visa locations around the globe.

Responsibilities

Serve as an integral member of the product management team as the product owner for infrastructure features for Visa Checkout and Visa Token Services
Identify and drive requirements for common infrastructure services with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security. This includes research, recommendation and implementation of solutions that could improve the resilience and service level of the infrastructure
Collaborate with business and commercial teams to build product roadmaps
Evaluate technologies, drive consensus, and create proof-of-concept and frameworks
Responsible for defining SLAs and performance metrics
Lead design of infrastructure features, assessment of customer needs, conduct research and analyses and develop business cases to support product strategies and commercialization
Work with product owners to understand business needs and define requirements for backend infrastructure services such as secure emails, multi-variate testing, content management, authentication and notification services to streamline business delivery
Work closely with other team members to define, develop and implement the payment infrastructure related features for the product
Provide product oversight for systems that are required to be reliable, massively scalable, highly available and maintainable
Create business requirements and feature specifications
Maintain a prioritized backlog using agile methodology
Understand cross functional dependencies and work with teams to meet product goals
Be the primary contact for one or more product owners that would like to better understand infrastructure solutions across the their features/services
Partner with cross functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in product implementation and support of customers using the services
Demonstrate leadership and ability to negotiate effectively with management internally at Visa and externally with clients and third party vendors
Assist the team with analysis and prioritization of penetration test findings as well as security and risk findings
Work closely with the Product Owner and Cross-Functional teams to ensure business objectives are met and the overall program strategy is effectively executed
Be a leader, self-motivated, and demonstrate the ability to influence and communicate effectively across functional lines to ensure all participants and stakeholders deliver according to schedule and budget
Develop a strong business understanding of the program’s objectives and be a problem solver, proactively able to identify and resolve issues as they arise via strong working relationships with others
Ensure Visa’s processes and all required Visa Inc. policies are followed
Stay up to date on new tools & technologies

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or equivalent
10+ years of experience in the financial services industry a plus
Familiarity with Agile development processes and best practices (Agile development tools such as JIRA and Confluence a plus)
Industry experience in online and mobile products a must
Extensive and current experience in designing and building network and security subsystems
Demonstrate broad network and system infrastructure knowledge across multi-datacenter topologies, authentication services, content management systems, analytical systems, secure email systems, multi-variate testing, and other product supporting functions
Excellent written and analytical skills, with an ability to clearly communicate via Office Word and PowerPoint documents
Excellent communications skills, including the ability to diplomatically build consensus across disparate views and cross functional organizations
Must be extremely flexible and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities on very tight deadlines
Self-driven to take challenges head-on and achieve goals

Preferred Qualifications

Master in Computer Science or equivalent
Good understanding of performance optimization in different environments
Experience architecting SaaS platforms
Excellent analytical skills, coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive
