Job Description
The Director, Product Development Medical Industry is responsible for leading the efforts in identifying, evaluating, creating, and executing new products and services that contribute to the growth of the Medical Industry. This position will work directly with the customer and business owners to identify requirements and collaborate across verticals, regions, and functional areas to create, develop and implement solutions. This individual will have the ability to create interest, generate and maintain demand by filling sales pipeline goals, act as subject matter expert on customer bid responses and grow new product revenue year over year. S/he will act as subject matter expert for the medical sector within the vertical.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Master's / MBA degree required
A minimum of seven (7) years experience in business planning, strategy deployment, product development, and/or solutions development
A minimum of seven (7) years experience in logistics and/or participating in large scale, full-life cycle system integration projects with an emphasis in the medical industry
Demonstrated success in development and implementation of strategic initiatives that support client business success and corporate goals
Business acumen to deliver results in an ambiguous environment.
Demonstrated skills in organizational group process, problem identification and resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
Ability to develop and present business models and business cases.
Ability to present and influence executive management and senior leadership both internally and externally.
Experience with, or ability to understand commercial implications of solutions proposed, potential areas of risk and methods to limit liabilities.
Strong planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, organization, presentation and negotiating skills.
Proficient in project management methodologies with a focus on managing solution driven strategy plans to achieve goals.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.

In-depth knowledge and understanding of the complex domestic and international supply chain channels in the medical industry is required
Demonstrated experience in developing, building or buying new services
Full life-cycle management from product launch, reverse logistics toend-of-life life cycle management is preferred
Creates both internal and external awareness for new products and services
Leads a collaborative approach in creating, developing and implementing new products and services to achieve Hi-Tech's strategic initiatives by working with customers, industry analysts, business owners, Hi-Tech leadership team, and functional areas outside of vertical
Develops product solutions and strategies to respond to customer bids and target prospective customers
Continues to mature product and adds value to service line via product road map
Creates interest and generates and maintains demand, working in conjunction with Marketing to fill sales pipeline
Additional Responsibilities
Leads and manages concept-to-delivery phase of product development life cycle
Develops product and service strategies through understanding of unmet needs, satisfaction drivers and performance requirements throughout the value chain/channel structure, both internally and externally
Acts as the product expert for the identified product lines
