Job Description
The individual would act as one of Intel's senior liaisons with the U.S. Congress, the White House, Executive branch departments, and independent governmental agencies. He or she would also help manage activities and strategy with our trade associations and other technology companies.
Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years work experience on Capitol Hill and/or the Executive branch. Law degree preferred.
Other Important Qualifications Include
Policy expertise in the areas of global piracy, content policy and copyright protection.
Strong relationships with the House Judiciary Committee, Federal Communications Commission and the Department of Justice.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills that allow the individual to lobby issues effectively with lawmakers, regulators and other key officials in Washington;
Developing political and legislative strategies, together with Intel's policy experts, on Intel's public policy goals;
Interacting frequently with senior Intel executives to understand the operations of various business units and update them on relevant law and policy matters;
Monitoring upcoming congressional hearings, briefings, mark-up sessions, or legislative meetings on a daily basis and keeping Intel officials apprised of pertinent developments;
Ability to work independently and craft solutions under significant time pressure;
Maintaining open and active lines of communication with other allied groups and coalitions, including technology companies, trade associations, think tanks, interest groups, and various political organizations;
Contributing ideas, talking points, and thematic insights to Intel Corporate Communications officials to support their messaging efforts on behalf of the company.
