Responsible for ensuring that all new equipment purchased by PepsiCo meets required safety standards. Responsible for ensuring installed fixed-based assets meet required safety standards in multi-year safety improvement plan.
Responsible for ensuring that all new commercial vehicles purchased or leased by PepsiCo meet required safety standards.
Responsible for ensuring R&D function and offices meet required safety standards.
Support Corporate Fleet function in managing vehicle suppliers in meeting PepsiCo's safety needs.
Support Corporate Risk Management function in mitigating financial and legal risk associated with supply chain and non - supply chain incidents.
Daily interaction, collaboration and development with Sales and Operations (Band 2, 3). Develop strategies and programs for meeting PepsiCo's goals for safety as well as efficiency, cost and productivity.
Daily interaction and strategy development with Sector Sales and Operations leads globally (Band 2, 3, 4) to develop and support implementation of plans.
Interaction with SSM, HR, Legal, Engineering and Facilities teams to ensure contracts, RFQ/RFP and PO's have suitable language to cover expectations and provide accountability in meeting PepsiCo's expectation.
Quarterly report out to SVP Global Operations and SVP Field staff (Band 4, 5).
Lead implementation of global capability-building program for operations, sales and fleet safety.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for occupational safety including technical advice, incident investigation, and review of risk assessments.
Serve as key member of PepsiCo Environment, Health and Safety Leadership Council (EHSLC) in setting strategy, obtaining global alignment across horizontal groups, and influencing Global Sales and Operations SVPs to adopt and deploy PepsiCo EHS strategies.
Provide mentoring and coaching of regional EHS professionals in the field, expanding their knowledge of technical occupational safety issues, as well as the business.
Essential Skills
Related Bachelor Degree (safety, industrial hygiene, industrial risk management, safety management or manufacturing engineering is preferred). Credible professional certifications are preferred (for example, CSP Certified Safety Professional, CIH Certified Industrial Hygienist). Master's degree preferred.
Experience working in a matrixed organization and obtaining results through influence and engagement.
Demonstrated strong change management skills including development and execution of culturally-aligned change management strategies and targeted plans.
Demonstrated results through innovative and cutting edge occupational safety programs.
Experience in manufacturing, distribution and sales safety.
Desire minimum of 8 to 15 years' experience in a fast-paced, multinational company managing a corporate or sector OHS program.
Must have attention to detail, follow-up, and superb organizational skills.
Experience with working across varied, diverse, international cultures.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
