Job Description
Seagate is seeking a talented Engineering Director to work in our Fremont, CA location. This individual will lead a team distributed across Fremont, CA and Pune, India with increasing global responsibility over time. This position will report into the Sr. Engineering Director of the Electronic Solutions group.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development organization.
• Hire, train, coach, and mentor engineers and 1st/2nd line engineering managers
• Build and lead a world class engineering organization that is focused on delivering products (Silicon) on time with quality. Work closely with Product Development team and Marketing team to provide working Silicon.


• Provide technical and functional leadership to the offshore development organization (India, China)
• Drive continuous process improvements in Design and Verification practices in Silicon development team. Inculcate sprit of sharing best practices, methodologies, and ideas within and across teams.
• Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes.

Required Qualifications

• BE with 15+ years of experience in ASIC/ SoC/FPGA design and development.
• Proven ability to work with teams in multiple geographies with leadership role

Preferred Qualifications

• ME and/or MBA with 20+ years of experience in ASIC/SoC/FPGA design and development
