Responsible for managing the Disaster Recovery engineering function for Corporate Technology (GBTS -- Global Business and Technology Solutions). This role will have responsibility to manage the Disaster Recovery technology infrastructure standards and guidelines, both domestically and internationally. The successful candidate will be the Subject Matter Expert for DR infrastructure supporting business applications to ensure RTOs and RPOs can be achieved as designed. It will include the identification and evaluation of requirements, capabilities and risks, and the review and testing of procedures and plans for the DR Infrastructure to insure the business' ability to continue operation in time of disruption.
Specific responsibilities include DR Infrastructure and application architecture assessments for Corporate IT and our domestic and International business partners. Managing and updating procedures and standards necessary to control and recover the data processing environment, Participate in architectural standards creation for DR and the operational change management process to ensure impact to continuity goals are understood and conducting post implementation reviews. Ensure the service recovery strategy and supporting technology plans align with business goals and requirements. Provides technical and engineering support to all IT support functions, audit functions, and act as the DR technical consultant to our business partners.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate must possess a high level of expertise in IT Infrastructure engineering and operations. The candidate must also have extensive experience Disaster Recovery infrastructure and Business Continuation processes, industry standards, and best practices. Technical expertise in Distributed (Wintel, UNIX, Web) Mainframe and Telecom/Network technologies is required.
Ability and experience in providing consulting and advisory services to peer engineers, architects and BC officers is a must.
The candidate must also possess executive presence and customer service skills with a high level of energy with a collaborative, “can do” attitude combined with the strength and confidence/courage to serve as a subject matter expert with Datacenter facilities and Disaster Recovery infrastructure.

The successful candidate must also possess advanced skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) with an ability to produce professional documents for presentation to executive management.
· Seasoned IT Infrastructure and DR/BC professional with a proven track record in a large financial services organization (minimum 7 years in a global enterprise with a strong technical background for infrastructure and global data center environments)
