Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented leader that will lead a team of passionate and driven interaction designers, user researchers and visual designers. This team is responsible for driving the user experience for Juniper software products, delivering experiences that wow the customer, help us win deals and make it easy for customer to operate their networks.


In this position, you will be a tireless advocate for the end user, understand their aspirations and challenges, and drive the product UX and the team to provide the best experience for our customers.

Responsibilities
Lead the user experience function end-to-end.
Define and champion our user experience vision and design across multiple products in the organization, with our customers and partners. Make our user experience stand out in the market and make it a key driver of our company’s market position and success.
Drive engagement with customers, prospects and partners in ways that establishes Juniper as the user experience leader in the networking space.
Expert at getting things done
Grow and apply a deep and actionable understanding about our users and their needs and experiences with our products.
Oversee the creation of design specifications and design standards in the form of storyboards, wireframes, prototypes and mockups.
Enhance our usability testing and research efforts to ensure that all actions are driven by customers needs and efforts can be targeted and measured
Drive visual design enhancements that wow the users
Drive definition of user experience success metrics and evangelize those metrics across the organization. Communicate improvement against those metrics over time.
Deliver information architecture, navigation paradigms, interaction design, wire frames and software UI, around a well-defined nucleus of user needs, tasks, customer and product requirements.
Grow and mentor a team of talented and motivated user experience professionals. Promote overall awareness and competence in design research and design thinking, creating opportunities for the team to grow and expand their own skills and portfolios.
Define and champion an organization-wide design process. Be the voice of our users across a variety of organizations and levels. Leverage your relationships to ensure stakeholders are consistently delivering against our user experience vision
Drive UX for large projects from vision to execution over multiple releases.

Required Skills
15+ years of relevant work experience in UX, visual design and user research.
Superlative communication and presentation skills: you can communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and design details both verbally and visually.
Experience working in an enterprise software product company, driving design from planning to release over multiple releases.
Expertise across all facets of human-centered design and user experience, spanning UX strategy, experience/interaction design, user research and visual design.
Self-starter with experience working in a fast-paced, iterative, agile development environment.
Experience managing a multi-disciplinary team of designers and researchers.
BA/BS degree in User Experience, Human Factors, or related degree, or equivalent work experience.
Strong design portfolio of your work that demonstrates your contributions to creating great products.
