Job Description
At GoDaddy, you will be responsible for managing key marketing initiatives as part of an integrated, solution-oriented marketing plan driving revenue and profitability for the Domains business line. The role includes developing deep customer insights and creating effective marketing plans & strategies across key small business segments to drive demand and penetration across a large portfolio of domain offerings. This role includes developing and communicating compelling value propositions through effective messaging and merchandising to a diverse set of customer targets.
This role will work across the product, marketing, sales and channel teams to ensure successful execution. Responsibilities: * Know the target customer, know the product, and connect them to drive exceptional business results * Own and manage key marketing initiatives to drive revenue & profitability for the Domains business line by developing insights and analysis to drive feature set, naming, messaging, pricing and lifecycle marketing approach * Develop innovative marketing strategies and programs to drive category awareness and penetration among targeted customer segments. * Own and set strategy to achieve penetration in key small business verticals. Provide insights and analysis to define entry strategy, and drive messaging and lifecycle marketing approach, closely collaborating with key marketing counterparts in eCommerce, online/offline acquisition, partners, brand, and sales. * Develop compelling product positioning, messaging, naming & benefits platform, based on customer & competitive insights that differentiate our products in the market. * Drive quantitative and qualitative customer intelligence and research in order to better understand customer profile, needs and behavior to meet business goals * Drive cross-channel messaging/merchandising for domains. * Support annual and quarterly marketing plans and business goals * Develop and build strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders in an effort to collaborate and drive the overall business
Requirements: * 10+ years of experience in marketing, with specific experience in small business/consumer technology-driven brands and experience in web/software applications * Proven experience leading the marketing strategy development and execution for a specific product * A customer-centric view with a passion for gaining customer insights and translating insights into strategies * Strong business and marketing acumen, with strong ability to generate creative, original marketing approaches based on customer insights * Solid analytical ability, with track record of “test & learn” mindset * Superior leadership qualities, with a track-record of increasing responsibility and results in a cross-functional, team environment * Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and simply * A love for to solving tough, interesting problems * The ability to adapt to changing environments quickly * An innate bias toward action and is a strong self-starter * MBA preferred
