Cisco Security Solutions is looking for an exceptional leader to take the role of Sr. Director of Security Operations. Reporting to the Vice President of Managed Security Services, the Sr. Director of Security Operations will be responsible for the global strategy, execution, operations and delivery of Cisco’s Managed Security Services. The ideal candidate provides strong strategic leadership skills to create and execute the vision for rapid growth of Cisco’s Managed Security Services operations. The role requires the ability to execute on both the strategic and tactical level - guiding future vision and strategy while ensuring excellent delivery for customers on a daily basis. The position sits squarely between strategic leadership and front line operations. This candidate will manage a team of security analysts, investigators, change/incident engineers, activation engineers and customer engagement managers who provide day-to-day security services on a global, 24x7x365 basis. Top candidates have a strong interest in new technologies, an understanding of incident detection and response, strong problem solving skills, proven leadership abilities, are able to communicate effectively to people at various layers, make timely and well thought-out decisions, and possess seasoned client relationship management experience.
Role & Responsibilities
• Create, assess and improve processes which deliver success for our customers.
• Accurately assess current state of the organization, work processes and capabilities; and create a vision of the future state of the organization and drive execution priorities to achieve the vision.
• Build strong teams. Create organizational structure based on strategy and assessment of current capability gaps. Hire top talent to fill critical roles.
• Develop a deep understanding of the ways we deliver value for customers and continually improve processes, systems and personnel to delight customers.
• Work closely with the solutions development team in a Dev/Ops model to refine and improve our platforms, tools and technology.
• Create and use metrics to assess performance against objectives; develop deep understanding of the relationship between processes and systems which drive outcome metrics.
• Manage customer engagement team and manage all facets of service delivery.
• Develop programs for the recruiting and retention of top cybersecurity talent; ensure Cisco is a destination employer for cybersecurity analysts and investigators.
• Focus on high quality service delivery and customer satisfaction; develop programs to measure and improve customer satisfaction; develop programs to manage customers throughout the entire service delivery lifecycle.
• Manage teams of front line security analysts, investigators, and change/incident engineers.
• Develop a deep understanding of the prospective customer purchase process and assist with pre-sales activities.
• Develop future leadership within the organization.

Minimum Qualifications
• 10-15 years of senior management experience in operational roles.
• Experience with Managed Security Services business models.
• Experience with 24/7/365 service delivery models on a global basis.
• Security relevant knowledge and experience in one of the following areas: security operations, incident response, incident detection, malware analysis, threat response.
• Understanding of current information security challenges and solutions; industry trends.
• Bachelor’s degree.
