Job Description
VMware is actively seeking a Global SaaS Operations Director\. Based in Atlanta, GA, you will be a hands\-on leader of the cloud application hosting team focused on building and supporting a world\-class cloud infrastructure\. You will interface with the most senior members of the AirWatch by VMware divisions to identify requirements, manage priorities, provide status, manage budgets, and ultimately ensure that service delivery is on time, on budget, and of maximum quality\. Partnering with our Global Services and Support teams, you will design, architect and lead the implementation of multiple environments for internal and external SaaS customers\.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: · Provide cloud hosting service management strategy, process, and procedures across the organization · Lead multiple cloud solution architectures to monitor the system and verify that it operates at maximum performance and reliability, designing in additional efficiencies as opportunity permits · Develop and mentor a high performing team of global professionals · Produce regular and accurate service management reports to IT and business leadership

· Provide strong leadership, guidance, and direction related to cloud hosting service delivery · Work closely with Engineering, Data Center Operations and our technology vendors to ensure SLAs are met and quality meets or exceed expectations · Manage the execution and support of efficient application release procedures and processes · Manage adherence to security and compliance safeguards, policies and procedures · Manage the vision, design and deployment of cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, and network systems for Cloud Hosting · Partner with Global Services and Support teams to provide world class support, leading edge technical capabilities and compute service delivery and management · Align implementations and architected solutions with internal standards, processes, policies and procedures · Managing change, assets, and documentation for top quality support · 10\+ years of experience in a related function is preferred, a portion of which ideally within an enterprise software company · 5\+ years of experience managing high\-volume customer\-facing SaaS applications is required\. · Understanding of/experience with the following disciplines: o Application architecture o Continuous integration/deployment in large cloud/SaaS environments o System provisioning, automation and configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, etc\. o Identity management systems such as SAML, AD, and role\-based access o System/deployment administration experience in a 24x7, high\-availability production environment is highly desirable · Demonstrated ability to write technical documentation easily consumed by a non\-technical audience · Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate plans, roadmaps and strategies with customers · Strong team player capable of providing support across the SaaS Ops organization to train and assist others across global regions · Willing/able to provide after hours, on\-call and escalation support of AirWatch 24x7 cloud hosting environment, including system outages and incident response · Professional certifications in cloud technologies, virtualization, networking, and security desirable · Professional certifications in project management and service delivery · B\.S\. degree in an engineering and / or technical discipline from an accredited college / university required; advanced degree is a plus
