Job description
The head of systems and technology reports into the Vice President of PDU IPOS and is responsible for leading a global team of senior technical engineers who are the lead architects of the IPOS engineering community. The S&T team sets development priorities in partnership with product line, and defines industry leading technology strategies.



An ideal candidate will have the broad mix of engineering, management and business skills required to both lead a technical team and drive Ericsson’s business success.

Responsibilities

Lead a global team of 40+ senior software architects, who are experts in the areas of IP Routing protocols, embedded infrastructure, OAM, security and virtualization.

Work with platform teams to define roadmaps and HW/SW architectures.

Attract, motivate and retain top industry talent.

Define and evangelize Ericsson IP strategy in industry, with customers and to executive management.

Integrate cutting edge 3rd party software and emerging technologies into IPOS.

Support product line leadership in customer engagements.

Ability to persuade key decision makers and manage strategic communication.

Qualifications

B.S in computer science or related engineering field.
+ years of industry experience with at least 5 years experience as a technical manager

Experience leading senior (principal and distinguished) engineering teams.

Track record of delivering leading products and building large scale software systems.

Working technical knowledge across a broad range of technologies relevant in access, edge and cloud markets.

Strong communication skills.

Solid business acumen.

MBA desirable.
