Job description
This position is in Data Quality Management team within Basel Data Governance and will be responsible for driving the implementation of data management, data monitoring and data quality analysis. The Director will partner closely with Enterprise Data Governance Office, Controllership, Risk, Treasury, Technologies and other teams to create data quality reports and implement the strategies and management processes to effectively govern data and to improve data quality. This position will follow and influence data quality related standards, policies, and procedures to ensure that the data quality is appropriately measured.


Responsibilities Include

• Collaborating with Technology team and Business SMEs to develop and implement data quality dashboards and reports, set up business rules and thresholds

• Leading the conducting of data assessment tests following data quality assessment criteria

• Leading data quality attestation

• Monitoring and reporting data exceptions in issue management process

• Driving data quality improvements; supporting efforts to identify and remediate data defects/issues

• Ensuring compliance with data management policies and procedures

• Implementing and maintaining business rule repository for validation of data

• Helping to develop and recommend strategic enhancements for data assessment process

• Supporting communications of data quality approach, status and results to internal and external stakeholders

• Driving remediation of Audit and Regulatory feedback on the data quality program

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of work experience, of which at least 3-4 years in data governance; Financial Industry preferred

• Candidate must have strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as strong relationship skills

• Hands-on knowledge and implementation experience on data quality practices such as profiling, Lineage, and metadata management

• Prior experience in managing data and performing data quality assessment and remediation

• Knowledge of project management, credit risk, financial, operational risk, and liquidity is a plus
