Position Summary
The Account Director has proven a deep development of the Account Management core competencies. They are an advisor and partner to the client at the senior brand manager and marketing/category director levels. They have developed a keen ability for managing client-based multi-discipline projects across the agency matrix and agency offices. They are able to identify opportunities to grow their and their client’s business.
Responsibilities
Understands the essential dynamics, strategies, and drivers of their client’s business.
Shapes and drives direction and activity on a given piece of business; recognizes and advances big ideas.
Monitors and communicates POV on current marketing and industry issues.
Demonstrates accountability for agency performance and flawless execution.
Uses Agency resources creatively to support client’s business.
Foresees and identifies opportunities and formulates plans to manage and exploit them to drive/extend the business.
Utilizes the Agency Matrix to get the best job done.
Ensures overall quality of work on their accounts.
Manages client expectations, objectives, and timelines.
Recognizes, works through, and resolves conflict situations (internally and externally.)
Builds and maintains senior-level relationships at the client and within the agency.
Acts as a resource to team members in assessing ideas and directions.
Facilitates own and other’s ideas from development to presentation to execution.
Coaches, involves, and inspires the growth and development of junior Agency staff.
Reaches beyond their scope of work and seeks input from multi-discipline sources.
Requirements
– 10 years advertising agency experience including 3 – 5 years supervisory experience.
Proven experience presenting information both orally and in writing.
CPG experience a must
Experience working with an integrated team
Global experience a plus
