Senior Director - Star Wars - Marketing - Electronic Arts - Redwood City


Job description
We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Director to be based at EA Redwood Shores, CA who is a world class marketer, progressive thinker with experience launching AAA games, understanding consumer needs, building high quality marketing assets, managing a live service, and exploring new business models. You will manage a team at EA Headquarters in Redwood Shores, CA and be part of a large global network that includes EA, Lucasfilm, Disney and many other partners. In order to be successful, you must have the ability to partner with multiple teams, process analytics and consumers insights into clear business and product strategy and execute against a vision for the future.


Key Responsibilities

Lead the EA star wars project based at visceral, build the EA star wars mobile portfolio, and cultivate the partnership with Disney/Lucasfilm
Set marketing strategies, target audience, positioning and franchise key performance indicators
Prioritize key moments of truth to double down
Establish key performance indicators for key player journey moments of truth and drive org to solutions when key performance indicators not being met
Manage global franchise/licensor approvals
Lead marketing collaboration framework process that evaluates metrics, flags opportunities/risks and drives org to solutions that foster positive player relationship
Drive consistency in metrics that fuel the business

Build the EA star wars master brand
Define brand identity/voice via brand bible
Lead key global marketing assets and relationships
Ensure that all marketing activity is on brand such that Each touch point consistently builds player trust
Curate player insights and provide in-depth player expertise
Work with go to market teams to ensure campaign is on brand and on strategy
Drive the Lucasfilm approval pipeline.

Produce EA star wars assets
Work with the dev team to remain a product expert so the game is always represented accurately
Work with Integrated Communications Leader to define content roadmap and asset strategy
Brief both the video and still assets for the campaign
Direct studio based videos & guide advertising and key art
Collaborate with external vendors on asset creation
Maintain and communicate up-to-date calendars on asset status for cross functional teams

Build EA star wars products
Provide product/competitive expertise to all go to market teams
Deliver a consistent voice of the player in early concept to develop with their needs in mind
Partner with dev to align on target audience & product truth
Help dev prioritize features by providing clear player motivations
Identify the key messages (Unique Selling Points) that we want to communicate to players
Prioritize and contextualize marketing touch points to drive work needed from dev partners

Run the EA star wars live services
Drive live service player engagement via integrated dev/ analytics/ marketing/ regional efforts
Deliver a consistent voice of the player in live services to develop with their needs in mind
Prioritize and contextualize marketing touch points to drive work needed from dev partners in the live service stage
Provide product/competitive expertise to all go to market teams
